LEWISTON – Mary Duross has been hired as education manager by Maine Public Broadcasting.

Duross, of Old Orchard Beach, is responsible for the implementation of all educational, workforce readiness and lifelong learning services at MPBC. She also supervises station employees and volunteers working on education projects and develops new, related services for Maine Public Broadcasting’s education department.

Duross has degrees in elementary education and adult education from the University of Southern Maine and is currently at the dissertation writing stage of her doctorate in education leadership through George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Prior to accepting the position at Maine Public Broadcasting, she was a coordinator of adult education services for a consortium of six school districts in Maine’s midcoast area.
