Dear Sun Spots: Wisdom’s Center for Women is raising money for the center by recycling computer printer cartridges. These are sent to a company which pays us a certain amount for each cartridge. If you are interested in helping the center in this way, please call (207) 784-0155, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Thank you. – Wisdom’s Center, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Please help! I can’t seem to find a local radio station playing “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” by “American Idol” runner-up Clay Aiken. Would you please find one? It would be much appreciated. Thank you so much. – W. Jones, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Would you please find out which local radio stations – and their phone numbers – that are playing the new single “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” by “American Idol” runner-up Clay Aiken. I know it was being released June 10. Thanks for your help. – D.L.P., Lewiston.

Answer:
In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots checked with several stations, none of whom were playing it. However, WJBQ 97.9 FM said they have played it, although the single is not in full rotation at the moment. You might want to check back in a week or so to see if playing has increased.

Dear Sun Spots: You have helped me in the past and I thank you very much. I really need your help again in finding an address for the company that makes refrigeration units, Thermo King. Where might I be able to teach classes? – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
Contact Thermo King corporate headquarters, 314 West 90th St., Bloomington, MN 55420, (952) 887-2200. Unfortunately Sun Spots is not able to answer the second part of your request. You do not specify what kind of classes you are seeking to teach. Please advise so that Sun Spots can assist you in finding a location.

Dear Sun Spots: I used to occasionally order all-time favorite, older cassettes of country music at the Ernest Tubb Record Co. I believe it is now closed. Is there any other such place where these are available? Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Answer:
In addition to responses from readers, you may want to try contacting Time Life Music at E. Parham Road, P.O. Box 85535, Dept. 3304-B, Richmond, VA 23285-5535, (800) 382-2348 or online at www.timelifemusic.com.

Dear Sun Spots: I am anxious to find out if there might be some store or curtain shop that would have the repair kit for the old-fashioned Venetian blinds with the 2-inch slats? They came in white or beige and contained the cord and tapes to replace broken ones. It would have to be in the Auburn, Lewiston, South Paris or Norway area. I could use several boxes. – Anna Trundy, Hebron.

Answer:
Sun Spots spoke with Jeannine Peyser, owner of Gamache & Lessard Co., 995 Center St., Auburn, (207) 782-0052, who says they sell the tape at $1.80 a yard and the cord at 40 cents a yard. Peyser says they also carry the Venetian blind tassels, should you need them.

You may also want to contact Custom Window Decorators, who will gladly repair them for you. You can drop them off at 1486 Lisbon St., Lewiston, (207) 784-4113.

And alternatively, you may want to contact My Blinds, 2343 Jet Wing Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80916 or via e-mail at webmaster@fixmyblinds.com, (719) 597-0696.
