1938 – 2003
RUMFORD- Mary Theresa Perry, 64, of Route 108, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born July 9, 1938, in Rumford the daughter of Germano and Anna Loida DeFilipp. A resident of this community all of her life, she was a communicant of St. Athanasius St. John Church and a graduate of Stephens High School in the class of 1956. Mary had worked in central supply at the Rumford Community Hospital for many years, and she was a member of the Sons of Italy.
She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed playing cards and bocce.
On May 10, 1958, she married James Richard Perry in Rumford.
Surviving besides her husband of 45 years of Rumford are a son, Robert, and his wife, Tammy-Lynn, of Peru; a daughter, Lynn, and her husband, Jay Petrie, of Rumford Center; four grandchildren, Erin and Avery Perry and Julianne and Amanda Petrie; three brothers and their wives: Vito and Frances DeFilipp and Pat and Aldona DeFilipp all of Mexico, and Joseph and Doris DeFilipp of Rumford; a sister, Rose, and her husband, Tom Gallant, of Rumford; two sisters-in-law, Andrea DeFilipp of Lewiston and Fannie DeFilipp of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Umbro, and three brothers, Dominick, Salvatore and John.
