HARTFORD – The Hartford Heritage Society will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the J and O Irish Museum on Route 140 to elect officers. The public is invited.
Seniors to meet
DIXFIELD – Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet on Wednesday, June 18, at the Legion Hall. The meeting will start at 11 a.m., followed by a potluck luncheon with salads and sandwiches being served. Entertainment will be furnished by Barry Wood. A trip to Foxwoods-Mohegan Sun is scheduled for Oct. 16 to 17. Anyone interested is asked to call Connie at 364-4189 for further information. The annual Maineline Mystery Trip is scheduled for Oct. 26, 27, 28 and 29. Anyone interested in this trip is asked to call Connie at 364-4189. Membership in the Neighborly Seniors is open to anyone age 50 and over. New members are welcome.
Derouche benefit
RUMFORD – A benefit supper to help Joe Derouche pay for medical expenses was a success with about 450 people attending the spaghetti supper. Raffle winners were Susan Viger, Cindy Archibald, Richard Briggs, Cheryl Briggs, Gary Gammon, Ryan Godin, Marie Coffin, Chris Roy, Rhonda Ouellette, Beverly Waugh and Jan Arsenault, Edie Robichaud, Theresa Thibodeau, Gail Gaudin and Joe Bordeau. Derouche’s family and friends are holding another raffle featuring a kayak package valued at $900 from Mead Westvaco and 100 gallons of oil donated by Fabian Oil. Tickets are available from family and friends and will be available at the Mootide Festival.
