BOSTON (AP) – Bruno Sundov exercised his contract option on Monday and will return to the Boston Celtics for a second season.

The 7-foot-3 center-forward signed as a free agent last July but was used sparingly in 26 games. He averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds in 5.3 minutes.

Sundov has played 76 games in five NBA seasons with Dallas, Indiana and Boston. He spent 2001-02 with Indiana and played 88 minutes in 22 games, averaging 1.5 points and 1.0 rebounds.
