I was disgusted to read the ill-considered comments by the young Marine about his combat experience in Iraq, and even more disappointed that the Sun Journal would choose to print those comments (June 12).

What was the point? To document that 20-year-olds can be immature in their views, or did you actually think this story was news?

War is not a video game where the enemy is a two dimensional figure on a computer screen. The Iraqi soldiers whose killing he describes so gleefully were fellow human beings.
