1918 – 2003
LEWISTON – Napoleon “Nappy” Rosario Begin, 84, a resident of 20 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, June 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston, Oct. 31, 1918, the son of Pierre J. and Rose D. (Fournier) Begin. He attended local schools and was a 1935 graduate of Jordan Grammar School. He worked most of his life self-employed in sales.
Following retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, and his beloved companion, Dorothy Wright. He also enjoyed music and travel.
Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Begin and his wife, Mary of Needham, Mass., Richard F. Begin and his companion, Patricia Early of Bethel; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Skinner and her husband, Richard “Brian” of Auburn, Mrs. Linda Rolfe and her husband, Dean of Lewiston, Mrs. Deborah Bissonnette and her husband, Richard of Auburn, and Elizabeth Kennedy of Auburn; three brothers, Louis Begin of Lewiston, Leopold “Paul” Begin his identical twin and wife Yvonne of Auburn, and Robert Begin and his wife, Juliette of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances “Sophie” Begin Feb. 14, 1988; and two brothers, Laureat P. Begin and Henry G. Begin.
