1940 – 2003
CALIFORNIA – Vernal W. Lavoie, 63, a former resident of Livermore, died Tuesday, June 17, at his home at 29 Palms, Calif., following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Standish on April 12, 1940, the son of Carlton and Charlene Folsom Lavoie and was educated in the Livermore Falls school system. He worked as a machinist at Sonoco Machine Corporation in Sun City, Calif., and was a classic car buff in his spare time.
He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Darcy and Gilbert Moreno and a son, Daryn Lavoie; granddaughters, Moriah and Raquel Moreno; four brothers and their wives, Keith and Judy Lavoie of Tennessee, John Lavoie and his companion Mary of North Turner, Kim and Rhonda Lavoie of Livermore and Jeff and Pat Lavoie of Ticonderoga, NY; three sisters and their husbands, Dawnalyn and John Durgin of North Turner, Tina and Linton Quirrion of Livermore and Pat Ouellette of Livermore; his grandmother, Erma Folsom of Monmouth; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Richard.
