AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at the American Legion Hall, Washington Street, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25. At the close of the meeting and following a bag lunch, members will play bingo.

The club met June 11 with 73 members present. A moment of silence was led by Chaplain Bernice Parks in memory of former member Hilda Putnam, member Eunice Johnson and Jennifer Edwards, granddaughter of Nelson and Patricia Edwards, who had recently died.

Harold Grondin was welcomed as a new member. Birthdays were acknowledged for June. Attendance prize winners were Val Labrie and Adele Delmonico; pot of gold winners, Frances Robitaille, Pat Edwards and Eleanor Harris.

Nancy Roy was voted in to replace Arlene Sieckowski, who recently resigned as vice president. Edwina Bonney reported the Turner Senior Citizens will take a bus trip to Camden for $10 on July 9. The bus will stop at Mt. Battie, dining at the Taste of Maine with a stopover on return at Big Al’s in Wiscasset. Meals are at participant’s expense. Pick-up will be at Boofy-Quimby in North Turner at 9 a.m. If interested, see Bonney at Robin Dow meetings or phone her at 225-2892.

At the close of the meeting and following a bag lunch, a food auction was held.

Distribution Day

AUBURN — Auburn AC Serve (SHARE), part of Serve New England’s food and volunteer program, will have its Distribution Day from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Auburn Advent Christian Church, Whitney Street entrance.

Vacation school

LISBON — Vacation Bible School will be held at the Lisbon Free Baptist Church, 29 Village St., from 9 to 11 a.m. July 7 to 11 under the direction of Pastor Gary Leet.

This year’s theme is “Sharing Jesus with Others.” The schedule will include Bible stories, games, crafts and music.

All children ages 3 through 12 are invited. No preregistration is necessary. A closing program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
