LEWISTON – The Lewiston Recreation Department Multi-Purpose Center site is again offering a Summer Literacy Playground Program for children from kindergarten through grade six.

The program will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, through Friday, Aug. 8. There will be field trips, book talks, games, contests, recreation, swimming, arts and crafts, family literacy and school/home literacy connections involving parents as partners.

Registration forms may be obtained from the Multi-Purpose Center recreation coordinator from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Parents or guardians must go to the Multi-Purpose Center to register.

Breakfast and lunch are funded through the USDA Child and Adult Food Program and provided by the Lewiston School Nutrition Program.
