AUBURN – Walton Elementary School held its final walking race in June. Due to inclement weather, the race was held in the gym. Students walk-raced around the gym twice.

Winners of the fifth- and sixth-grade races were: Leah Costlow, Kayla Smith, Kevin Landry and Ryan Roberge. The runners-up were Michelle Pelletier, Greg St. Denis and Tony Bonito.

Judges were Margaret Lane, Louise Whelan, Stephanie Davis and Claire Young. About 20 students took part in the walking club during the school’s last trimester.
