1950 – 2003

LEWISTON – Lawrence J. Banville, 53, of 158 Russell Street died Thursday, June 19, at Russell Park Manor.

He was born in Lewiston Jan. 6, 1950, the son of Joseph and Anne Bennett Banville. He was educated in Lewiston schools and had been employed in area shoe factories including Bel Moc Co. where he was employed as a side laster.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, outings, bingo and shopping. He was very appreciative of the staff at Russell Park Manor and they enjoyed his company. He also enjoyed working the bingo games at Russell Park Manor.

He is survived by three daughters, Kelly Chung and husband Vance, Candy Sullivan and Tracie Banville all of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Abigail, Cassandra and Blake Chung, Trinity Hudson and Jasmine McCowan; the mother of his children, Barbara Lavoie of Sabattus; two sisters, Lorraine Houle and husband Bob of Lisbon and Gloria Pettengill and husband Larry of Lewiston; also many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, John and Henry.
