1915 – 2003

GORHAM, N.H. – Catherine M. (Seguin) Philippon, 88, formerly of Gorham and Jefferson, N.H., passed away Friday, June 20, at the Country Village Health Center in Lancaster, N.H., where she had been residing since March.

She was born at Rock Island, PQ, Canada, Jan. 20, 1915, the daughter of Walter and Hazel Pelon Seguin.

A resident of Gorham for many years, she was a member of Holy Family Parish. She was a past member of the Gorham Senior Citizens.

She enjoyed her family and church activities. Over the years, she had made many cakes, especially wedding cakes, and enjoyed making crafts.

She is survived by two sons: Richard Wheeler and wife Barbara of Union; and Arthur Poliquin and wife Lynn of Olympia, Wash. She is also survived by a daughter, Pauline Tuttle and husband Robert of Jefferson, N.H.; two brothers, Claude Seguin and Walter Seguin of Island Pond, Vt; two sisters, Ruth Couture of Meriden, Conn., and Ann Jodrey of Gorham, N.H. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Watson Wheeler, Gerard Poliquin and Allen Philippon. She was also predeceased by her parents and a son, Walter Wheeler.
