1981 – 2003

JAY – Jennifer “Jenn” Lowe Smith, 22, of Wilton, died Friday night, June 20, in Jay from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.

She was born April 15, 1981, in Farmington, the daughter of James S. and Janice Bottiggi Smith. She was a 1999 gradaute of Mt. Blue High School and was pursuing a criminal justice degree at Thomas College in Waterville. While in high school, she was a member of the ski team and played basketball and softball. She loved scuba diving in exotic places, helping others, and life in general.

She worked at Dutch Treat in Wilton for many years. She also was employed at Hannaford stores in Augusta and Farmington, and at Mario’s in Wilton.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. James S. and Janice Smith of Wilton; her sister, Kathi Jeanne Smith of Portland; her brother, Stephen L. Smith of Wilton; her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Smith-Young and her husband, John P. Young, of Boca Raton, Fla.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends, all of whom she adored.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Charles and Evelyn “Pat” Bottiggi of Wilton; and her paternal grandfather, Ted Smith of Boca Raton, Fla.; and many friends.
