DIXFIELD – Among new business items up for discussion at the Board of Selectmen’s meeting Monday are a sewer variance and tax reimbursement.

The meeting is at 4:30 p.m. June 23 in the town office.

Lyle White has requested the variance and Irving Forest Products Inc. wants a tax reimbursement, according to the meeting agenda. Town Manager Nanci Allard was not available for comment Friday.

Other topics include a part-time Public Works Department laborer and truck purchases with the bond approved by voters at the June 7 town meeting.

Ludden Memorial Library’s trust funds are up for discussion under old business and reports are expected from the town librarian and public works director.

An executive session has been scheduled to discuss a personnel issue.

Prior to the 2:30 p.m. meeting selectmen will conduct a two-hour workshop on matters involving the Police Department.

Specific issues include following the will of town meeting voters in reverting the police department to a four-person police force with a full-time work schedule, which entails hiring a fourth officer.

In March, selectmen voted 3-2 to have a three-person department, eliminating one full-time position they’d been unable to fill.
