1917 – 2003

MARYLAND – Howard S. Slosberg, 86, formerly of Winthrop, died June 12, at Washington Adventist Hospital.

He was born in Augusta March 25, 1917, the son of Abraham and Annie (Dion) Slosberg. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School, Boston. He served in the U.S. Army, Judge Advocate’s Corps from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.

Mr. Slosberg was a Winthrop Town Counsel, a Town Meeting Moderator, President of the Kennebec Bar Association, in 1970, a member of the Augusta Players, a Shriner and a member of the Lions Club. His first wife, Eleanor Sylvia Slosberg, died in March of 1990 and his marriage to Fredora Slosberg ended in divorce.

He is survived by his niece, Irene Lait Friedman of Bowie, Md.
