BUCKFIELD – The 2003 schedule for Sundays in the Garden at Two at Hedgehog Hill Farm as been announced. Programs are free and open to the public at 2 p.m. every Sunday. One hour lectures are held rain or shine.

June 29: Herbs for Pleasure and Use will include tours of herbs in the perennial border, walkways, culinary or cutting gardens and patio containers.

July 6: Gardening in the Shade will feature a tour of several shade gardens at Hedgehog Hill, where common and uncommon plants are combined in pleasing designs.

July 13: Small Fruits and Berries will include a tour of the grape arbor, raspberry, rhubarb and blueberry gardens, with tips on design, planting and maintenance.

July 20: Culinary herbs will introduce participates to the smell and taste of cooking herbs, from basils to angelica. Ideas will be given on growing and using culinary plants.

July 27: Photographing in the Gardens will include a lecture and tour of the grounds for people who are interested in improving their skills with their own 35 mm. cameras. Bring cameras, film and join in the discussions and an hour of shooting.

Aug. 3: Everlastings on Display will feature a tour of the production gardens that include thousands of plants that can be air dried. Learn about harvesting and designing.

Aug. 10: Flowers for beauty and cutting will show that the brilliance of the cutting gardens is stunning at this time of the summer. See old favorites and new varieties. Take home ideas for next year’s gardens.

Aug. 17: Preserving Herbs for use Throughout the Year will show when and how to pick and preserve herbs for culinary use throughout the year.

Aug. 24: Saving Seed will teach participants to gather, dry and store a variety of seeds from their own plants. Tips for cultivated and wild plant propagation will be given.
