AUGUSTA – Kathy Arsenault of Lewiston was presented the Bill Diamond Award by Timothy Poulin, assistant notary public officer for the state of Maine, at the 10th Annual Meeting of the Informed Notaries of Maine (INM), held recently at the Augusta Civic Center.
The award is presented each year in honor of Diamond, former secretary of state and a charter member of INM.
The award honors an individual who has made major contributions to INM in educating notaries in Maine.
Arsenault demonstrated leadership with her organizational skills as vice president for INM, which strives to ensure that Maine notaries are educated about the legal, ethical and technical facets of performing notaries acts.
INM provides training on how to properly notarize documents, perform civil wedding ceremonies and act as a signing agent for mortgage companies.
Arsenault is a longtime employee of Bates College and resides in Lewiston with her husband, Donald.
