It was most uplifting to note the arrival of the Middle East youngsters from areas of upheaval in coming to the tranquillity of Maine to live for awhile and associate with one another (June 25).

As Mainers, we cannot really understand the chaos and conflict of their countries that separate Jews and Palestinians due to their religious cultures.

While politicians on both sides continue in their struggling talks for peace, our Otisfield site achieves much more in negotiating the true peaceful understanding need for the coexistence of our human race.

It is truly the “Seeds of Peace” which will be sown and dispersed by their return to their homelands and develop future understanding.

Maine should be proud to offer this unique display which nurtures non-violence! Shalom.
