OXFORD – A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the new CCS company at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the ICT building on Route 26.
Yard sale
OXFORD – The Rock-O-Dundee Riders Snowmobile Club will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Crestholm Farm on Route 26. For information phone 539-2616.
Old Home Days
HARRISON – Harrison Old Home Days will be held from Wednesday, July 9, through Saturday, July 12. This year’s theme is Dreams. The Fiesta midway opens at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 9. Advance ride tickets are available from the Market Basket and Village Tie-Up. In addition to rides and attractions, there will be nightly entertainment on the Harrison Old Home Days stage. The raffle booth will announce winners hourly and a nightly 50/50 drawing will be held at 10:30 p.m. The Great Duck Race is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, July 12. Ducks are also available for purchase at the Market Basket and Village Tie-Up. One thousand ducks are available at $5 a piece. The winner shares the winnings with the Harrison Old Home Days organization. All money earned during this four-day event is returned to the Harrison. Brochures are available at local businesses.
Summer Festival
NORWAY – The Norway Summer Festival will be held from Wednesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 13. The 31st annual sidewalk art show will be featured. Also included will be music, dance, food vendors, children’s stage and more.
Garden lecture
PARIS – Garden Pest and Disease Management will be offered in a two-part walk and talk program by from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at the McLaughlin Foundation Garden and Horticultural Center, 97 Main St.
Plant pest and disease sleuths Clay Kirby and Bruce Watt will present the program. A boxed lunch will be offered as part of the $24 program fee. Preregistration is required by phoning 743-8820.
