BETHEL – Works from 50 artists and artisans and three hours of music from two Maine female folk artists will showcase the 14th annual Bethel Art Fair Saturday, July 5, on the common.

A wide array of fine art and crafts may be enjoyed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Food from Bethel’s fine restaurants, churches and the Bethel Rotary Club will be available all day. Ongoing events include children’s entertainment, which includes art activities, stilt walking, face painting and a Punch & Judy Puppet Show.

Additionally, an inflatable sculpture by the Mahoosuc Arts Council will adorn the common.

Musical performers at this year’s traditional early summer event are folk artist Nancy Rae of Fryeburg from 11 a.m. to noon, and one of Maine’s premier female folk artists, Anni Clark.

“Both musicians are sure to treat the audience to a great afternoon of music,” said Robin Zinchuk, executive director of the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce.

Clark, a Yarmouth native, will perform from noon to 2 p.m. Clark has been named 2003 Female Artist of the Year and 2003 Folk Artist of the Year by readers of Jam Music Magazine, which is based in Concord, N.H.
