RUMFORD – Diane Muise will present a concert of gospel music at 7 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the First Baptist Church. Most of her concerts also feature her 13-year-old son, Michael. Husband Leo serves as booking agent, business manager, sound technician and bus driver.
There is no admission fee, however a freewill offering will be received for the Muise Music Ministry.
Charity ride
ANDOVER – The AQHA Charity Ride will be held on Sunday, July 20. Campers are welcome from Friday, July 18, through Monday, July 21.
There is an open and game show on Saturday, July 19, followed by a pig roast barbecue and the trail ride is on Sunday. All horse breeds are welcome and profits from the show and trail ride go to the Maine Abused Women’s Advocacy Program.
Class of ’49
RUMFORD – The women of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet at the entrance of the Abbott Plaza (site of the former Ames) by 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, to car pool to the Bethel area for luncheon.
Food items will be collected to donate to the Mexico Congregational Church Food Pantry in memory of recently deceased class member, Bernice “Bunny” Sessions Easter.
60th reunion
RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1943 will hold its 60th class reunion at Madison’s Restaurant on Aug. 16.
The committee is trying to locate Hildreth Woodward, Jerry Forbes and Joyce Lord. People who have received invitations but have not responded can still return their reservation form.
