NORWAY – Norway Summer Festival will present the woman’s percussion and vocal ensemble Inanna, Sisters in Rhythm, in a joint concert with Art Moves Dance Group and Middle Eastern dancer Josie Conte at 7 p.m. Friday at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Inanna explores the sounds of West Africa through original compositions and arrangements of traditional African rhythms.

The group was formed more than 12 years ago by the participants of a drum class in Alna.

It has performed throughout New England and has recorded four full-length albums.

The group will be joined on stage by Middle Eastern dancer Josie Conte of Portland, and Norway’s Art Moves Dance Group, an accomplished group of teenage dancers under the direction of Debi Irons.

Admission to the concert is free for students and $5 for adults.

Additional donations are requested, to benefit the Norway Summer Festival.
