1913 – 2003

WINTHROP – Ronald E. Alden, 89, a resident of Alden Road, Leeds, died July 7, at Heritage Rehab and Living Center where he had been a patient the past 16 months.

Born in Leeds, Oct. 7, 1913, the son of John and Charlotte Baker Alden, he was a tenth direct descendant of John and Priscilla Mullins Alden, who came to America on the Mayflower in 1620.

Survivors include two sisters, Irene Alden and Priscilla Alden Rote; 11 nieces and nephews; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, John Alden Jr. and Ralph Alden.
