1928 – 2003
BATH – Laurison A. Giddinge, 75, formerly of Mechanic Falls died Wednesday, July 9, at Winship Greene Nursing Center.
He was born in Lewiston on May 29, 1928, the son of Cody B. and Elsie Shippen Giddinge. He was educated in Mechanic Falls schools. He was head of maintenance at the General Motors Buick Division in Flint, Mich.
He was a member of the Fenton Lodge 109 and transferred to Gladwin 397 where he was a life member. He was a member of the Mason’s and the Shrine in Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and archery. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea.
He is survived by his mother of Topsham; a sister, Pauline Shaw of Windsor; a brother, Harry of Topsham; a stepson, Mark Batista of Calif.; two grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Chris.
