1946 – 2003

LEWISTON – Linda L. Tilton, age 56, a resident of Warren Hill Road in Jay, died Friday evening, July 11, at St. Mary’s Hospital where she had been a patient for five days. She was born on Oct. 31, 1946, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Jack B. and Rita L. Gagnon Lee.

She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School, class of 1965. On Nov. 21, 1970, she married Frank R. Tilton at St. Mary’s Church in Wilton. Linda had worked for International Paper Company, Androscoggin Mill in Jay in the Finishing Department until moving to Florida in 1989. She returned to Maine in 2002. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and was an animal lover.

She is survived by her husband of Jay; two sons, Franklin R. Tilton Jr. and his wife Mary of Jay and Henry L. Tilton and his wife Erica of Fenton, Mich.; her mother and step-father, Rita and Maurice Fuller of Jay; a brother, Kenneth Lee and his wife Irene of Vassalboro; a sister, Juanita Bouchard and her husband Kenneth of Jay; two step-sisters, Karen Blais and her husband Norman of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and Janet Zawacki of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a step-brother, Steve Fuller and his wife Ellen of San Ramon, Calif.; and grandchildren, Shelby, Reba, Alex, Brandon Jackson, and Nadia Ford. She was predeceased by her father Jack Lee on March 22, 1972.
