Thanks for the supportive editorial on Head Start. I cannot fathom why the president wants to mess with such a successful program.

After 38 years, we know what we are doing. I read some of his latest quotes about research in the field. He is talking about information that is five years old. He is ignoring the results of legislation five years ago that created a much stronger focus on literacy in our programs.
