PARIS – The Paris Cape Historical Society will meet on Thursday, July 17, to hear Glenn Davis speak about his experience in Israel where he was able to take part in an archaeological dig. He will show some of the artifacts he was able to keep.
The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the vestry of the Trinity Lutheran Church about a mile from Market Square on Route 117 (the Buckfield Road). The public is welcome and the vestry is handicapped accessible with the ramp from the back.
There will be several important items for discussion and voting before the program so members are urged to attend.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
The society museum off Route 26 north will be open most Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m. through October for tours and genealogical studies.
The society will have histories, prints and other books for sale at the Founders Day on Paris Hill on Saturday, July 19.
