LIVERMORE FALLS – The Planning Board will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. in the library auditorium to discuss the residential home and rehabilitation center proposed for the former Parkview Nursing Home.

The proposal from Armand Madore, doing business as Net Development Corp. of Mexico, wants to have a facility for up to 12 children, ages 6-12.

These youngsters, who have been abused, neglected and are in need of assistance to prepare them for foster care or adoption, would reside in the center, receive counseling and education.

So many concerned neighbors attended the June 18 meeting of the board that planners agreed not only to hold a hearing but to seek a larger facility, thus the meeting will be in the auditorium.

Planners will meet at 5:15 p.m. at the town office to take a site walk Tuesday, July 15, to become familiar with the building and property.

Other items on that agenda include signing of permits given by the site plan review and a possible election of officers.
