HANOVER – Dorothy Melanson, chairwoman of the Maine Democratic Party, and Rep. Robert Duplessis, assistant Majority Leader in the Maine House of Representatives, will speak to the Oxford County Democrats at a meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the Stonybrook Campground on Route 2.

Melanson will provide a update on the activities of the state party, and Duplessis will offer a legislative update. Representatives of the Edwards, Dean and Kucinich presidential campaigns are expected to attend, as is Violet Raymond of Rep. Michael Michaud’s Lewiston office.
