FARMINGTON – This year’s Art in the Park, sponsored by the Farmington Downtown Business and Professional Association, will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 25, in Meetinghouse Park in conjunction with Moonlight Madness.

Approximately $800 in prize money will be awarded. When the judges make their selections, artists retain ownership unless it is also a purchase-prize selection.

There are about 45 artists participating, from Maine and other New England states. Their stands will be filled with paintings and prints for sale.

Artists and businesses who would like to participate are welcome to contact Art in The Park Committee chairman, Carolyn Mayhew, at 778-4631.

Art by children, ages 3-17, will be on display. Ribbons, gift certificates and cash awards will be awarded in each age group.

There is no entry fee for children who may enter up to two pieces each.

They may bring them to the registration table between 9 and 10:30 a.m., and their work must be picked up between 3 and 4 p.m.
