1972 – 2003
EASLEY, S.C. – James V. Weast Jr., 30, of 50 Glenwood Drive, Greenville, SC, died Tuesday, July 15, at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center, after a sudden illness.
He was the only son of Jim Weast and Peggy of Easley. “Jim” was born in Lewiston, on Aug. 7, 1972. He moved to South Carolina in 2002.
He served in the United States Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Buffallo in Honolulu, Hawaii. Upon leaving the Navy, he took classes at the University of Southern Maine and Greenville Technical College in computer science.
He had received his A+ certification and was working toward his networking certification at the time of his death. He was a self proclaimed “computer geek” who loved working on and building his own computer systems; and getting together with his friends to talk about computers.
He also enjoyed helping others with their systems. He was employed at the Computer Direct Outlet in Greenville as a sales technician. He had a keen sense of humor and a great heart; he will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Weast of Raleigh, North Carolina.
