1938 – 2003

LEWISTON – Harry Jacobs, 65, returned home to the Lord on July 18.

He also known as “Tim” and “Grandfather” was born on June 6, 1938, in Millinocket. He graduated from St. Martins High School in 1956. He was a master pipe fitter and was employed at Great Northern Paper Co. until graduating from USM in 1980 at which time he and his family relocated to Mexico. He taught at Mexico High School from 1980 to 1983 and has been retired since that time.

He served the community several years as a Scout Master of the Mexico Boy Scout Troop, a member of the Lions Club, a devout volunteer at the GRAMPA food cupboard. He also served many years on the diaconate at the Mexico Congregational Church.

His passion was not only his grandchildren, but all of the children he served through the Lord at Youth Church conventions around the State and as a counselor at Pilgrim Lodge for 19 consecutive summers. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his son, Shawn, wife Karen and three children Sarah, Hannah and Gray; daughter, Kim, husband Jim and two children, Joshua and Jessica; daughter, Stefanie, husband Curt; daughter, Shannon, husband Steve and three daughters, Morghan, Brittney and RachAel; brother, Lloyd “Tommy” and wife Sally; several nieces and nephews; a vast family of faith and many friends.

He was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen; father, Charles; and brother, Gerald “Buddy.”
