1920 – 2003

FARMINGTON – Jeannice E. Fox, 83, of Farmington died Thursday evening, July 17, at Sandy River Nursing Care Center.

She was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Farmington, the daughter of G. Dana and Zelma (Orcutt) Robinson. She graduated in 1938 from Farmington High School and was married to the late Andre Marcous of Farmington.

From 1938-1940, she clerked at J.J. Newberry’s in Farmington. She later worked in local wood-turning mills, candy factories in Massachusetts, and was a Nurses Aide in Cambridge.

She was a housekeeper in Milford and New Haven, Conn., until retiring in 1982 at which time she returned to Farmington and resided at the Ethel Walton Apartments.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Farmington. She was a faithful Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed working on puzzles.

Survivors include two sons, William A. “Bill” Marcous and his wife, Louise of East Wilton and James D. Marcous of Nashua, NH; one daughter, Sherry Wetmore and her husband, Fred Jr., of Farmington; two sisters, Anne Smith and Jeanne Godin and her husband, David all of West Farmington; a half-sister, Donna Levesque of Livermore; two half-brothers, Richard Robinson of Unity and Darryl Robinson and his wife, Shirley of Wilton; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
