AUBURN – Sierra Marston, daughter of Michelle and Gary Marston of Auburn, will travel to Atlanta, Ga., for the Sunburst International Beauty Competition on Aug. 1. She will turn 6 on July 31.

Sierra entered her first pageant last September when she won her age division at a Sunburst preliminary contest held at the Lewiston Mall. She then won her age division in November at the Little Miss Vacationland Pageant in Bangor.

Sierra was first runner-up in her age division at the Sunburst Tri-State Pageant in Portland in May. She also won four out of the seven optional contests that she entered while there.

Her mother said, “We try to keep it simple. Sierra doesn’t practice very much; this is all for fun. When she’s ready to stop, we’ll stop. For now, she just has a great time making new friends and she gets excited adding trophies to her collection, whether it’s for first place or just a participation trophy.”

Sierra has a brother and two sisters.

The family is raising funds for the trip and is holding a bottle drive in the Lewiston-Auburn area. Anyone with bottles to donate should call 784-6620 or e-mail [email protected].
