LEWISTON – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer a series of Microsoft Office classes beginning in August. Classes will include Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
“According to a training survey we did earlier this year, there is a tremendous need in the business community for computer training,” said Diane Dostie, dean of Corporate and Community Services. “Basic skills in word processing, spreadsheets, database management and PowerPoint presentations continue to top the list of training needs.”
Classes will be offered at the beginner, basic, intermediate and advanced levels and will be taught in a hands-on environment in computer labs. Students will receive a certificate of completion and Continuing Education Units.
Descriptions on the Microsoft Office classes, pre-course evaluations and the schedule of classes are available on the Web site, www.cmcc.edu/training, or by contacting Jennifer Lyons at 755-5280, 1-800-891-2002, extension 280, or by e-mail at [email protected].
