1918 – 2003
LEWISTON – Harold L. Stratton, 85, a resident of 33 Roger Ave., formerly of Grandview Boarding Home and Bolster Heights Residential Care Facility in Auburn, died Sunday, July 20, at Marshwood Health Care Facility following a long illness.
He was born in Auburn, Feb. 20, 1918, the son of Carl Stratton, a former leiutenant in the Auburn Fire Department, and his mother, Alice Green Stratton.
He attended the High Street Congregational Church where he was baptized in 1998. He also attended the William T. Twarog Senior Center since 1988.
He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, and positive attitude. He loved the Auburn Fire Station, where he was a frequent visitor, the Boston Red Sox, coffee at Rolly’s Diner, camp at Oceanwood, bowling and riding his bike all over Auburn as a young man.
He was predeceased by his parents and one sister.
