AUBURN – Maine’s Speaker of the House Pat Colwell and his band will appear at 7 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Festival Plaza.

Colwell will be joined by his R & B band known for rockin the house will such songs as “Think,” “Proud Mary,” “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “Johnny B. Goode.”

“Pat Colwell and his band play the best of Motown music, the songs they sing are timeless and appeal to everyone,” said Laurie Smith, Auburn’s community relation manager.

Colwell has played guitar since high school and sung in bands including Jupiter Blues, opening up for such luminaries as Bonnie Raitt and J. Geils.
