1933 – 2003

FARMINGDALE – Dolores Irene Weeks, 69, of Wayne, passed away Friday, July 18, following a courageous battle with cancer. She ended one journey and began another surrounded by the love and company of her family.

She was born Marie Dolores Irene Doyon on Dec. 4, 1933 in Augusta to Ernest “Pete” and Rose Doyon. She worked very hard for 39 years at Statler Tissue Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis Catholic Church in Winthrop and previously of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Augusta where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society.

She was also a member of the Cushnoc Senior Citizens, the Augusta Elks Emblem Club and the American Legion. Mrs. Weeks enjoyed her weekly meetings with friends to volunteer at the local soup kitchen in Winthrop.

Her other interests included music, family gatherings, fishing, snowmobiling, card stamping, being outdoors and campfires.

She is survived by her son, Gary Michaud of North Anson; daughters, Darlene Soboleski and her husband Stan of Sidney, Ann Buxton and her husband Libby of Augusta, and Marlene Edwards of Gardiner; a sister, Madeline Parmenter and her husband Mervyn of North Whitefield; four grandchildren, Heather Ballard, Benjamin Buxton, Amy Buxton and Jamie Michaud; and greatgrandson, Blaise.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Lucille Gerine Small.

A special thank you and appreciation are extended to the staff at Captain Lewis Residence and especially to the staff and volunteers of Hospice, particularly Jeanne and Rob.
