PARIS – South Paris Baptist Church announces a special “Sports Challenge” Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 28 to Aug. 1 at the church.

Children from age 4 to 12 are welcome. A closing program for parents, family and kids will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday Aug. 1. All are invited.

A team of 50 adults and teens from Victory Baptist Church in Rochester, N.Y., under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Maloney, will present the gospel message along with fun activities.

Fun and games will include basketball, water sports, hockey, soccer and carnival-type games. Wear a bathing suit and bring towels for the water activities. There will be opportunities to win prizes, such as scooters, super soakers, sports memorabilia. Snacks will be provided.

The school and activities are free, but space is limited. Preregister by calling 743-6405. The church is located at 1 Park St. next to the South Paris Post Office.

The church is pastored by Dr. Daniel Waugh. Sunday worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. and includes contemporary and traditional worship music. A nursery and a junior church program are provided for children up to grade four. Sunday School for all ages begins at 9:30 a.m. and evening worship is at 6 p.m.
