1930 – 2003

WOODBURY, Conn. – Donald R. Dostie, 73, of Good Hill Road, died Tuesday morning, July 22, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on May 5, 1930, the son of Albert and Violet (Nadeau) Dostie. He attended Lewiston schools and had moved to Woodbury, Conn., 52 years ago.

He worked for over 40 years at the Timex Corp. in Waterbury, Conn., as a plant foreman until his retirement in 1991.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Thelma (Russell) Dostie of Woodbury, Conn.; one daughter, Donna Vaughn of Watertown, Conn.; two sons, Richard Dostie and his wife Jackie of Fairfax, Va., and Shawn Dostie of Woodbury, Conn.; five grandchildren, Robyn, Heather, Jamie, Donald, and Sharon; one great-granddaughter, Chelsea; one brother, Normand Dostie and his wife Gaetane of Lewiston; one sister, Jeannine Bolduc and her husband Dan of Old Orchard Beach and Florida; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his dog, “Lil’ Bear.”

He was predeceased by his brothers, Gerard and Roland Dostie; and his sister, Georgette Gosselin.
