FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) – The New England Patriots re-signed wide receiver Kerry Watkins and released offensive linemen Corey Mitchell and Joe Schey on Wednesday.

Watkins, a 5-10, 181-pound undrafted rookie from Georgia Tech, signed with the team on May 2 and then was released Monday.

Mitchell, a 6-4, 315-pound guard from Massachusetts signed with the team on July 16 after playing this spring with the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL-Europe.

Schey, a 6-6, 315-pound tackle from Fresno State, is a rookie free agent who signed on May 16.
