RUMORD – Katherine Harvey of Big Brothers Big Sisters spoke to the Rumford Area Rotary Club on July 14. Harvey, a Rotary member, described the Dozer Dayz to be held at Oxford County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26. The rain date is July 27.

Dozer Dayz builds on the theme of the children’s program, “Bob The Builder.” The day will feature bulldozers, excavators, road graders, scrapers, dump trucks, tractors, cement trucks and logging equipment. Children will be able to get on the equipment. Concessions will include associated souvenirs such as hard hats and T-shirts.

The day will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Child Health Center and the Boxberry School. It will be held in cooperation with the Associated Constructors of Maine and Women Unlimited.
