OTTAWA (AP) – The daughter of U.S. Ambassador to Canada Paul Cellucci married a Canadian hockey player at a weekend ceremony that drew high society and hockey players alike.

Anne Cellucci, 24, and Craig Adams, 26, a Carolina Hurricanes right-winger from Calgary, married Saturday at Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica.

Canadian dignitaries, a Harvard University crowd and National Hockey League up-and-comers attended the ceremony for the daughter of the former Massachusetts governor.

During the service, U.S. secret service agents patrolled outside the basilica. As the wedding ended, onlookers gathered on either side of the church doors as the 300 guests exited to waiting limousines and buses.

Prime Minister Jean Chretien and his wife, Aline, waved to the crowd as they left. Canadian Deputy Prime Minister John Manley and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bill Graham also attended.
