TORONTO – Roy Halladay won his 15th straight decision, pitching seven scoreless innings to lead the Toronto Blue Jays over the Baltimore Orioles 10-1 on Sunday.

Halladay (15-2) matched the club record for consecutive wins set by Roger Clemens in 1998 and is the first major league pitcher to win 15 straight decisions since Clemens won 16 in a row for the New York Yankees in 2001.

The 26-year-old right-hander became baseball’s first 15-game winner. Halladay, pitching on three days’ rest for the third time this season, allowed just two hits while striking out four and walking none.

He hasn’t lost in 20 starts since April 15 at Yankee Stadium.

Carlos Delgado hit his AL-leading 30th home run, becoming the first Toronto player to hit 30 or more home runs in seven consecutive seasons.

Aquilino Lopez pitched the final two innings to complete the three-hitter, giving up a home run to Larry Bigbie in the eighth.

Indians 3, Twins 2

CLEVELAND – Tim Laker, who missed an earlier chance to win it, hit an RBI single with two outs in the 14th inning Sunday to give the Cleveland Indians a 3-2 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Laker, who left the bases loaded when he popped up off Juan Rincon (2-4) for the final out of the 10th inning, came through the second time against the right-hander as the Indians won two of three in the series.

Rafael Betancourt (1-1) pitched the 14th for his first major league win.

Casey Blake doubled with one out in the 14th off Rincon, who was pitching his fifth inning. Jody Gerut moved Blake up with a groundout, and Milton Bradley was intentionally walked.

White Sox 9, Devil Rays 1

CHICAGO -Bartolo Colon combined on a four-hitter, and Frank Thomas homered and drove in three runs Sunday as the Chicago White Sox beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 9-1 for their ninth win in 10 games.

Colon (8-9) gave up Rocco Baldelli’s first-inning homer, then retired 18 consecutive batters until Aubrey Huff doubled in the seventh. He allowed three hits, struck out eight and walked none.

Colon warmed up for the start of the ninth, then was replaced by Kelly Wunsch.

Aaron Rowand had three hits for the White Sox, hitting a two-run homer. Carlos Lee also homered for Chicago.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Tim Hudson pitched a four-hitter and Scott Hatteberg went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo homers as the Oakland Athletics breezed to a 10-1 victory over the Anaheim Angels on Sunday.

Miguel Tejada hit a two-run shot and Ramon Hernandez also homered for the A’s, who have won four straight and six of seven after taking a four-game losing streak into the All-Star break.

Hudson (9-4) took a three-hit shutout into the ninth, but Adam Kennedy led off with his seventh home run. It was Hudson’s second complete game this season and 12th in 145 career starts.

Royals 5, Tigers 1

DETROIT – Jose Lima won his seventh straight start, and Angel Berroa and Desi Relaford homered as the Kansas City Royals beat the Detroit Tigers 5-1 Sunday.

Lima (7-0) continued his remarkable major league comeback, giving up four hits in five shutout innings against his former team.

Released by the Tigers last season, Lima claimed Detroit general manager Dave Dombrowski sent a letter to other major league teams advising them not to sign the right-hander. Dombrowski has denied that.

A 21-game winner and NL All-Star with Houston in 1999, Lima began this season with the Newark Bears of the independent Atlantic League – the same team Rickey Henderson was playing for before signing with the Dodgers.

Rangers 7, Mariners 3

SEATTLE – Michael Young had four hits and John Thomson pitched eight solid innings as the Texas Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners 7-3 on Sunday.

Seattle’s lead over Oakland in the AL West was cut to three games, the closest the Athletics have been since May 27. The Mariners have been in sole possession of the division lead since May 16 and had an eight-game lead on June 13.

Rafael Palmeiro and Hank Blalock each drove in two runs for the Rangers. Alex Rodriguez celebrated his 28th birthday by going 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

Young also scored twice.

Randy Winn drove in all of Seattle’s runs with a two-run homer in the second and an RBI single in the third.

Thomson (8-10) gave up three runs on eight hits and five walks, striking out seven. His five walks tied a career high, but he leads the team in wins.

Francisco Cordero struck out the side in the ninth. The Rangers had 13 hits after getting shut out by Joel Pineiro on Saturday.

Palmeiro got his 1,637th RBI with a single in the ninth. That pushed him past Ernie Banks for 19th place on the career list.

Two-time All-Star Freddy Garcia (9-10) lost his fourth straight decision. In 5 2-3 innings, he allowed six runs – five earned – on 10 hits and two walks.

Garcia, who hasn’t won since June 24, has a 5.17 ERA. In July, he is 0-4 with a 9.45 ERA.

The Rangers opened the third with five consecutive hits and scored five times to take a 5-2 lead.

Blalock and Palmeiro had RBI singles, Mark Teixeira added a sacrifice fly and Jason Jones had an RBI grounder. The fifth run came on shortstop Carlos Guillen’s throwing error.

The Rangers got another run in the sixth on Blalock’s RBI double.

Texas’ unearned run was first given up by Seattle since July 6 and only the third in 54 games allowed by the Mariners. They lead the majors with the fewest unearned runs, 17.

Guillen committed two errors, giving the Mariners 38 for the season, fewest in the majors.

Notes: Mariners closer Kazuhiro Sasaki will make a rehabilitation start Monday night at Triple-A Tacoma and probably pitch two innings, manager Bob Melvin said. Sasaki struck out the side Saturday night for Tacoma in his first rehab start. Sasaki has been on the disabled list since June 6 with two fractured ribs and a slightly torn abdominal muscle. … The Mariners reached 2 million (2,052,396) in attendance with their 15th sellout crowd of the season, 45,355. The Mariners are on a pace to draw more than 3 million fans at Safeco Field for the fourth year in a row.
