1918 – 2003
Lewiston – Teogenia N. Adams, 85, of Lewiston died Saturday evening, July 26, at Marshwood Rehabilitation Center, following a long illiness.
Born in Lewiston, May 2, 1918, she was the daughter of Frank S. and Sophie Staskauskis Norbut. She was educated at St. Patrick’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Jordan High School.
She was married for 64 years to Anthony M. Adams, who passed away April 12, 2003.
She worked at various manufacturing establishments prior to her retirement in 1980. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church, where she was active in the Rosary Solality and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include one daughter, Daine and her husband George Hersh of Berkeley, Calif.; one son, Michael and his wife Patricia (Small) Adams of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Michael Hersh of Albany, Calif., Matthew Adams of Portland, and Bethany Adams of Lewiston; and two great-grandchildren, Sydnie and Allison Hersh of Albany, Calif.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Albin F. Norbut; and one grandson, David Hersh.
