STRONG – A Mass of Christian Burial for Donald P. Richards was held Monday, July 21, at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Middle St., Farmington, with Rev. Roger Chabot officiating, following a family prayer service at Wiles Funeral Home, Cremation Service and Bereavement Resource Center, 137 Farmington Falls Rd., (Rtes. 2 & 27) Farmington. Organist was Lee Ann Tinker and soloist Colleen Serrada sang “Ave Maria”. Color Guard for Sunday, July 20 visitation were the following members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department: Sergeant Steven Lowell, Corporal Stephen Charles, Corporal Nathan Bean, Det. Thomas White, Det. David St. Lauren, Deputy Michelle St. Clair, Deputy Heidi Gould, Deputy David Rackliffe and from the Farmington Police Dept. Sergeant Vernon Stevens. Pallbearers were (Franklin County Sheriff’s Dept.: Sergeant Steven Lowell, Det. Thomas White and Det. David St. Laurent; Farmington Police Dept. Chief Richard Caton III, Lt. Jack Peck and Sergeant Vernon Stevens and Maine State Police Trooper Scott Stevens. Ushers were the following members of the Franklin Cty. Sheriff’s Dept.: Corporal Stephen Charles, Nathan Bean, Deputies Sandy Burke, Michelle St. Clair, Heidi Gould and David Rackliffe. Escort detail included Sheriff’s Dept. Corporals Stephen Charles and Nathan Bean and Deputies Michelle St. Clair, Heidi Gould and David Rackliffe. Bagpiper was Maine State Police Sergeant Scott Nichols. Following committal services at the Village Cemetery, Strong, family and friends gathered for a remembrance reception at the family home on Rte. 4, Strong.
