SOUTH PARIS – The Western Foothills Land Trust will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, in the McLaughlin Foundation barn, 97 Main St.

A short meeting will be followed by a slide presentation and lecture by forest ecologist and ornithologist Peter McKinley on “Black-throated Blue Warblers and Other Migratory Birds.”

McKinley is a forest ecologist for Hancock Lumber Co.

The public is invited. Additional parking is available on Western Avenue.

The trust has worked with landowners toward the permanent protection of properties in Norway, Hebron and Sumner. In addition, the trust has been working on collaborative projects with the Portland Water District and the Androscoggin Land Trust.

The trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of western Maine’s scenic, historic, agricultural and natural resources.
