1941 – 2003

EXETER, N.H. – Rita S. Murray, 61, of Exeter, N.H., formerly of Salisbury, Mass., died at home Saturday, July 26.

Born in Lewiston, Sept. 24, 1941, she grew up in Lewiston and graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She relocated to the Salisbury area in 1968 and worked for several healthcare organizations, retiring from Haverhill/Newburyport Human Services in 1993. She also served as a substitute school nurse at Salisbury Elementary School for several years.

She was the devoted wife of James Murray and loving mother of Scott Murray of San Diego, Calif., and Daniel Murray of Portsmouth, N.H.; and survived by many nieces and nephews.
