BINGHAMTON, New York (AP) – Justin Huber drove home Rodney Nye with a single in the bottom of the thirteenth inning as the Binghamton Mets beat the Portland Sea Dogs 2-1 Thursday night in the Eastern League.

Phil Seibel started for Binghamton (51-60) and gave up no runs and one hit through five innings.

Jorge De La Rosa started for Portland (59-49) and allowed no runs on four hits over five innings.

Binghamton relievers Jeremy Hill, Nick Mattioni, Tim Lavigne and Jason Saenz (4-2) combined to throw eight innings of one run ball.

James Johnson (2-4) allowed the unearned winning run to score.

Brian Loyd singled scoring Justin Sherrod in the eleventh but Binghamton tied it as Huber grounded into a double play scoring Nye.

The Sea Dogs play the Mets tonight in the second of a three-game series in Binghamton.
